With the Governor and Vice Governor of Phuket plus Dr Wiwat from the PPHO and K Jirasuk from the Energy office we would like to invite you to attend a Keep Phuket GREEN event at CENTRAL Festival on Sat Feb 13, Sun Feb 14 and Monday Feb 15 with about 60 exhibitors.
The display area will run from 2 – 6pm daily.
A showcase of Phukets green elements will be displayed and a range of talks, shows & events will feature.
Highlighted initiatives from the Government will be a displayed, plus what can be purchased from recyclers, there will be sales of eco products, eco fashion shows and education programs regarding the 4Rs, Reduce Reuse Recycle and Responsibility. A number of retailers will promote environmentally friendly products including BIO-D bags ahead of the 2 baht per bag plastic bag charge across major retailers in Phuket that is about to come into effect.
The booths are set up in the old Phuja area, opposite starbucks.
The Governor has asked that we invite at least 2 people from every main hotel in Phuket to come along on Sunday at 3pm for the Minister of Energy speech and for all to bring 10 plastic bags and trade them in for a re-use bag at the event.
On Sunday will be the formal launch of the Governors waste reduction strategy.
